Instead of Larry David waiting calmly off-camera for his interview about “Curb Your Enthusiasm” (2000 - 2024), he unexpectedly burst onto the “Today” show stage and playfully assaulted Elmo. Elmo then urged the comedian to “talk about how you feel.” Laughing, Savannah Guthrie told David “he had gone too far.”
Larry David was later compelled to apologize to Elmo. Elmo accepted this apology. Recently, Elmo drew attention with a tweet in which he asked how his fans were doing. Many of them shared their problems in response, placing Elmo in an unexpected therapist-like role. Elmo talked about it on “Today.”
