Darius Rucker, the singer of Hootie and the Blowfish, was arrested in Franklin, Tennessee, for misdemeanor drug possession charges. The incident, prompted by expired tags on his vehicle, led to a search that resulted in charges of simple possession, casual exchange, and violation of vehicle registration law.
After the arrest, Rucker was released on a $10,500 bond. According to his legal representatives, he is fully cooperating with the authorities. Darius Rucker recently released an album titled “Carolyn’s Boy” (2023).
