The 85th edition of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament will begin on March 19, 2024. This year, a total of 68 teams will participate, with two emerging through successive elimination rounds to compete in the championship game. This final showdown will take place on April 8, 2024, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
For the first time in history,basketball teams from Stetson University (Central Florida) and Grambling State University (Grambling, Louisiana) will participate in the tournament. Additionally, after a long absence, representatives from Duquesne University (Pittsburgh), Samford University (Homewood, Alabama), McNeese State University (Lake Charles, Louisiana), and Wagner College (Staten Island, New York City) will vie for the NCAA title.
The NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament (commonly known as March Madness), where the winning team becomes the national champion of men’s college basketball at the Division I level in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), has been played since 1939.
