Will Besa stand on the victorious podiums of this year’s Eurovision?

Apart from a large number of other talented representatives of their countries, this year’s 68th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest (held in Malmö, Sweden) will also feature Albania’s representative, singer Besa.

Besa (full name Besa Kokëdhim) was born on May 29, 1986, in the Albanian city of Fier. At the age of fifteen, she moved to the United Kingdom for education, and in 2023, she released her debut song titled “Më Beso” (“Believe Me” in English). Three years later, listeners could purchase her first album, "Besa."In 2009, Besa competed for the opportunity to participate in Eurovision, but with the song “Nothin’ Gonna Change,” she did not win the national competition necessary for advancement to Eurovision.

Besa was one of the judges on the Albanian television show “The Voice of Albania,” and in the year following, she broke through in France with her ballad “En Equilibre” (“In Balance” in English). In 2023, she was selected as Albania’s representative, set to perform the song “Titan” at Eurovision.
