Joey Bada$$ Releases 'Lonely at the Top' – His First Album in 3 Years

The long-awaited project that Bada$$ was supposed to drop weeks ago is finally here.
Joey Bada$$ calls it a streamlined project—easy to take in, but still a step forward creatively.
Finished in less than half a year, Lonely at the Top carries the unpolished energy of a mixtape: direct, unfiltered, and aimed at reconnecting with his core fans.
The project also pulls in some heavyweight voices, including Ab-Soul,
Westside Gunn,
A$AP Ferg,
Ty Dolla $ign, and
Rapsody. Check out our track ranking below.
The album leans on classic boom-bap production, paired with Joey’s straight-to-the-point lyricism. According to the artist, there’s something here for everyone—whether it’s the raw sound or the message woven into his verses.
This fall, Joey takes Lonely at the Top on the road with Ab-Soul and Rapsody for The Dark Aura Tour, running from October through Nov. 20 in Philadelphia.
