J. R. R. Tolkien hailed from Bloemfontein. Born on Sunday, January 3, 1892, this Capricorn made their mark as author. J. R. R. Tolkien's journey to fame began with their academic pursuits at schools like Exeter College, University of Oxford and the King Edward's School.

Over the course of their career, they were honored with numerous accolades, including the Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation, Locus Award for Best Fantasy Novel and the Nebula Award for Best Script.
